What European countries are open to fully vaccinated travellers

One of the biggest generating tourist groups is of course from the Unites States.
A large majority of Americans have been fully vaccinated and are key to contributing to a number of countries’ tourism revenue. Of course people from all over the world are now itching to travel so below are some countries’ guidelines for those chomping at the bit to explore. We have chosen 4 of the most beautiful European countries to visit while the weather is still balmy and warm.

Croatia

Firstly, most tourists must show proof that they have paid for their accommodation in advance. Croatia is open to fully vaccinated U.S. travellers as well as any previously infected travellers, some partially vaccinated travellers and those who can prove a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 to 72 hours (depending on the type of test) of arrival. All visitors are also permitted to enter Croatia if they take a COVID-19 test immediately upon arrival, then isolate until a negative result comes back; travelers who cannot get a test upon arrival must self-isolate for 10 days.

Italy

Like Croatia, Italy is welcoming fully vaccinated travelers from the U.S. and other countries. The country is welcoming tourists who have recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months, and travellers who can provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours of departure.

All travelers who have been in certain higher-risk countries  within the last 14 days must show a negative COVID-19 test result taken within three days of departure, quarantine for five days upon arrival, then take another test. All visitors to Italy must also complete a digital passenger locator form.

Greece

Greece is currently open to fully vaccinated travelers, with no additional entry requirements. All other travelers over the age of 12 will need to show a negative test result from within 72 hours before arrival. Who’s keen to sail around the Greek Islands then? This seems like the most seamless journey of all.

France

U.S. travelers who are fully vaccinated can visit France with proof of vaccination and a sworn statement confirming they do not have symptoms and have not been in recent contact with anyone who has COVID-19. Unvaccinated travelers can enter the country if they present a negative COVID-19 test result from within 72 hours of departure and the same sworn statement. Please note that France considers travelers to be fully vaccinated four weeks after receiving a one-dose vaccine, one week after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine, and one week after receiving one vaccine dose after recovering from COVID-19.
